Troubleshooting product imports

An import problem does not block proposal creation. Enter verified equipment information manually when the product page cannot be used.

The Import Product button is disabled

Make sure Product URL is not empty. Use the complete HTTPS URL for the exact supported product page—not a search result, category page, shortened link, IP address, or a page from another host.

The URL is rejected

The released importer accepts supported HVACDirect product pages only. Remove copied spaces, confirm the page uses HTTPS, and open it in a separate browser tab to make sure it is the intended product. Hawkeye Estimates is not affiliated with or endorsed by that supplier.

The page could not be imported

The source may be temporarily unavailable, blocked, too large, or missing recognizable product data. Try once more later. If the same safe error returns, enter the details manually rather than repeatedly refreshing.

The browser never needs to copy raw page HTML into the proposal.

The import is partial

Partial means some information could not be found or an existing manual value was kept. Review the highlighted and missing fields, then complete the important gaps from an approved source.

Existing details did not change

When imported information conflicts with nonempty fields, the editor asks before replacement. Choosing Cancel keeps the manual values and imports only empty fields. Use Refresh Import again only if you intend to compare and possibly replace those values.

The image is missing or incorrect

Confirm the page represents the complete equipment package. You can paste a supported exact-product catalog image URL or use a temporary manual upload. Review equipment images before saving.

Warranty review blocks finalization

Read the main and alternative warranty statements, choose or edit the correct customer language, verify manufacturer conditions, and select Mark reviewed. A web-research result may also require Mark import reviewed.
