Reviewing imported specifications and warranties
Resolve imported facts, source warnings, and warranty alternatives before finalizing.Imported content is a research starting point. Hawkeye Estimates keeps it editable and shows review signals so you can decide what belongs in the customer proposal.
Review specifications
For each imported option:
- Confirm the product name and system model match the intended package.
- Compare outdoor and indoor component models with the source.
- Check capacity and tonnage together.
- Confirm SEER2, EER2, and HSPF2 belong to the complete matched system.
- Verify refrigerant and electrical requirements.
- Confirm the indoor unit and zone type.
- Inspect the image for the correct product family.
Missing values may be optional or unavailable. Keep them empty until you have a reliable source.
Understand import methods
A result labeled Import method: Direct was extracted from the supported product page. A result labeled Import method: Web research used the bounded fallback for missing specifications after direct retrieval could not complete the work.
Review warranty language
Warranty text can vary between the complete system and individual components. When the importer flags a warranty:
- Read the current Warranty text.
- Compare any Alternative warranty statements found.
- Select Use this only when an alternative is the right customer-facing statement.
- Edit the final language when necessary.
- Confirm manufacturer terms, registration conditions, and which components are covered.
- Select Mark reviewed.
Do not blend different warranty statements into a broader promise unless the manufacturer terms support it.
After editing the product URL
Changing Product URL clears the previous import metadata and an imported or pasted remote image associated with the old page. Re-import and review the new product from the beginning.
