Sending proposals by SMS

Hawkeye Estimates supports consent-gated proposal delivery by text. The application builds the transactional message and secure proposal link; users do not type or replace the SMS body.

Before sending

Confirm all of the following:

• The proposal is finalized and the latest changes are saved.
• Customer mobile number contains a valid U.S. mobile number.
• The customer expressly agreed to receive this proposal at that exact number.
• Customer agreed to receive this proposal by text is checked and saved.
• The recipient shown in Send Proposal is correct.

Send the text

1. In Send Proposal, read the recipient mobile number.
2. Read SMS preview. The message includes the secure customer link and opt-out language.
3. Review the estimated message parts shown below the preview.
4. Select the recipient confirmation checkbox.
5. Select Text Proposal and confirm.
6. Read the result and check Delivery history.

Choose Email & Text only when both destinations are verified and both channels are appropriate.

Understand statuses

An accepted send is recorded as Sent before carrier delivery is confirmed. Delivery history changes to Delivered only after a verified delivery update. A carrier or device can still filter a legitimate message, so do not promise delivery based only on the initial send result.

Opt-out handling

Every proposal text includes STOP instructions. If a recipient opts out, further texts are blocked. Do not work around the block or switch numbers. Texting can resume only after the recipient uses a supported opt-in response and the application clears the opt-out state.

If the text button is disabled

Check the saved mobile format and consent record first. If SMS controls are absent entirely, the installation has not enabled an approved sender. Use secure share links or an available approved channel.
